Culinary Science: Behind the Class

Culinary science is one of the many electives that takes place at WVCS. Led by Mr. Lenhert, students get to learn about food facts and cooking skills to help them make fun treats that they can enjoy. Students work in the kitchen learning how to prep, cook, and eventually eat the food they make, whilst also learning what different ingredients do or what effect they have on the final product. All of the food they make is completely from scratch, following the recipes Mr. Lenhert finds. Whether it’s a debate between blondies and brownies, or putting pineapple on pizza, there’s always something going on in this class.
