Our Week Ahead


ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE K-12

1.  Application for Admission - complete an Application for Admission for each applicant (K-12). Attach the application fee and a completed Registration Contract and turn it into the school office. The latest report card and standardized testing results must be provided to the school office before testing can be scheduled.

2.  Testing Appointment - will be made when all of the above information has been received.

3.  Information required for Admission

K Students entering kindergarten must be 5 by September 1
K Verification of Hepatitis B series, chicken pox, and two doses of MMR vaccines 
K Photocopy of the certified birth certificate
K Report of Health Examination for School Entry Form
K-12 Students from out of state must get a TB test and chicken pox vaccination 
1-12 Stanford 10 or equivalent achievement test scores
1-12 The most recent report card or transcript
1-12 Last year's report card
1-12 California Immunization Form or immunization record signed by a physician
1-12 Completed reference forms that were included in the initial registration packet
7 Hepatitis B series and two doses of MMR immunization verification

4.  Transcript Release - Parent must sign the transcript release form to allow WVCS to obtain the student's permanent records from the previous school.

5.  Interview - An interview with the Chief Administrator will be scheduled after testing is completed.

6.  Admission Decisions - As soon as all the necessary information is received the student's file will be given to the admission committee for evaluation and determination. Admission decisions will be communicated via letter to the applicants. Not having the student's latest report card, standardized testing results, and reference forms will delay the admission process.
