West Valley Christian Middle School continues to build upon the strong basic skills education begun in our elementary school, with increasing emphasis on critical thinking, cooperative learning, research, and written and oral expression. Over the course of three years, this provides a strong foundation for our college preparatory high school program. Sixth grade students and new 7th and 8th grade students take a study skills course to acquire additional tools necessary for success at the middle school level and beyond   Advanced students are encouraged to move ahead of their peers in mathematics and English.  Qualifying 7th and 8th grade honor students may join the California Junior Scholarship Federation, which recognizes student achievement but emphasizes service to the school and community. Students are also encourage to take advantage of a wide range of electives, after school sports programs, and leadership opportunities.  A computer lab is available during the day and after school.
