What's New in Elementary School?

April 25th, 2023

A lot has been going on in Elementary School! Our Kindergartners were thrilled to witness the much-awaited hatching of their chicks. They had been closely observing the incubation process, and it was a gratifying experience for them to watch the eggs crack and little chicks come out. The children have been busy taking turns holding the chicks, and they can't seem to get enough of them. The hatching was a real success, and the children are looking forward to learning more about their new feathered friends.

Another exciting event that happened recently was the second-grade living wax museum. The students were tasked with learning about an influential figure, and they amazed everyone with their detailed and lifelike presentations. From historical icons like Jackie Robinson to popular culture figures like Simone Biles, the students pulled off exceptional performances. It was inspiring to see the children taking ownership of their learning and showcasing their knowledge in such creative ways. Overall, it has been an eventful time in the elementary school, and we look forward to seeing what other amazing things the students will do.

In a world that can sometimes feel chaotic and divisive, it’s always refreshing to hear about people coming together to make a positive impact. That’s exactly what third grade did when they started a kindness club. The club’s mission is simple: to spread kindness in any way possible. The students work together to brainstorm ways they can help others feel happy and loved, and then put those ideas into action. At a time when there seems to be so much negativity in the world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and helpless. That’s why it’s important to celebrate the little acts of kindness that brighten up our days.
